Job Description

About the Role

Taylor & Francis has a vacancy for a Procurement Controller within its Book Publishing Services Team.

The focus of the Procurement Controller will be to provide administrative and operational support to the Procurement and wider Books Publishing Services team.

The role involves supporting internal and external stakeholders, managing procurement processes, and helping maintain optimal inventory levels and Print On Demand supply globally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Procuring books from Taylor & Francis's stable of suppliers around the globe in response to customer needs
  • Ensuring books are bought at competitive prices in line with Corporate Social Responsibilityand strategic goals
  • Managing supplier relationships at the purchase order level, ensuring accurate costing, quality, and lead times
  • Responding to queries and providing support to internal and external contacts
  • Reviewing global demand to ensure effective supply through Print on Demand (POD) and print runs
  • Reporting and data analysis
Qualifications

Knowledge and Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Excel and other core Microsoft Office packages
  • Understanding of Power BI would be an advantage
  • Good industry and market awareness
  • Knowledge of Academic print production would be an advantage

  • Ability to prioritise, multi-task and work under pressure
  • Analytical skills working with data, logical thinking, and an eye for detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Additional Information

Location:The successful candidate will be able to utiliseour balanced working model. We ask that candidates live within acommutable distance of our Milton Park office in Oxfordshire to ensure that as a balanced worker they can make it to our office location to collaborate as required. There is an expectation for a minimum of 3 days per week in-person time.
