Job summary

South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust in Exeter seeks an Assistant Procurement Contracts Manager. Hybrid role supporting contracts, supplier management and value-for-money in a busy procurement team.

You will develop tender documents, manage the contract register and advise stakeholders on procurement best practices, with opportunities for CIPS study and professional development.

Qualifications

• Educated to Diploma/Degree level or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience in procurement, contract management or supply chain.
• Knowledge of NHS purchasing procedures and tendering processes.
• Ability to manage contracts, supplier information and spend data.
• Experience supporting procurement projects and value-for-money initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead procurement activities from quotation to contract award and implementation.
• Manage a portfolio of contracts and suppliers, ensuring value for money and outcomes.
• Provide procurement guidance to stakeholders across the Trust.
• Maintain and develop the contract register and supplier records.
• Support supplier performance reviews, contract monitoring and relationships.
• Develop tender documents, evaluation materials and award reports.
• Analyse spend and contract data to identify efficiencies and savings.
• Support project delivery and contract renewal programmes to meet deadlines.
• Collaborate with NHS organisations and procurement partners.
