Procurement Consultant will be delivering best-in-class strategic procurement and contract advice, including end-to-end procurement services to some of the larger brands and on the most exciting programmes and projects.

You will deliver services to public and private sector clients with a focus on central and local government, defence, infrastructure, power, and utilities.

Flexible remote working is supported, with the understanding that candidates will need to make regular weekly visits to the office for specific meetings and tasks.

Responsibilities and Duties
  1. Provide specialist procurement strategy advice to public and private sector clients.
  2. Manage and collaborate with a team on end-to-end procurement services for major projects or programmes.
  3. Support the development of procurement services.
  4. Assist in business development and marketing of the department.
  5. Support the delivery of team and wider business targets.
  6. Contribute to bid preparation, proposal documentation, and work-winning activities.
Desired Skills and Experience
  • Experience leading or supporting projects in a strategic procurement environment.
  • Preferably experience in Defence, Utilities, Infrastructure sectors (roads, rail, etc.).
  • Strong background in tender preparation and development of relevant documents, including design and process documents.
  • Experience in supplier engagement activities, from market engagement to contract award.
  • Knowledge of Public/Utilities Contract Regulations or equivalent across sectors.
  • Experience with standard form contracts like NEC and JCT, including development, negotiation, and award.
  • Ability to develop procurement strategies within projects or programmes.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Understanding of commercial principles and modelling.
Qualifications/Educational Requirements
  • A degree related to construction, civil engineering, quantity surveying, law, or procurement is preferred.
  • MCIPS accreditation achieved or in progress, or willingness to work towards it.
