Job Description:

Procurement Category Manager IT Infrastructure – Financial Services – Belgium

Duration: 12 Month Contract

You will be joining the IT Purchasing Team within the Supply Chain Department.

This team is responsible for sourcing all group non-payroll spend and is part of the Finance Division based in Brussels (Belgium).

The Supply Chain Department is organized into three main streams:

• The IT Purchasing team: purchasing software, hardware, cloud services (SaaS, PaaS, IaaS), outsourcing, telecom, cybersecurity, etc.
• The Indirect Purchasing team: facilities, contractors, consultancy, data vendors, etc.
• The Governance team: processes, policies, and controls for procurement, outsourcing, regulatory compliance, etc.

The main objectives of the IT Purchasing team include supporting digital transformation by capturing needs and developing sourcing plans, leveraging supplier markets, and ensuring strategic objectives are met.

Key ongoing responsibilities include maintaining a secure supply chain and developing team expertise to act as trusted advisors, bringing insights and best practices.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Define vision and strategies for supporting long-term IT infrastructure digitalization.
• Develop and update the global category sourcing plan, including needs, blueprints, and contractual extensions.
• Lead sourcing activities from needs assessment to purchase order, including RFP, negotiations, contracts, risk assessment, and stakeholder management.
• Serve as the go-to person for infrastructure sourcing activities.
• Collaborate with team members and potentially supervise buyers.
• Share experience and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Gather stakeholder feedback, identify unaddressed needs, and raise awareness of sourcing risks.
• Uphold core team values: autonomy, responsibility, collaboration, fun, and respect.

Required Qualifications:

• Over 10 years of experience in IT infrastructure sourcing (hardware and software), with proven senior management interaction.
• Knowledge of industry trends, players, drivers, TCO components, and strategies.
• Strong negotiation track record in mainframe, storage, data center strategies, IaaS, PaaS, etc.
• Ability to independently handle sourcing requirements and provide pragmatic recommendations.
• Excellent English communication skills, verbal and written.
• Proven ability to develop strategies and lead small teams with measurable outcomes.
• Strong organizational awareness and stakeholder relationship skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in Financial Services and regulatory environments.
• Knowledge of post-trade infrastructures and Agile frameworks.
