Position: Indirect Procurement Category Manager – 12 month FTC

Location: Cheltenham, UK (Hybrid: 3 days in office)

Salary & Benefits: £70,000 - £85,000 + Bonus + Pension Scheme + Life Assurance + Private Medical + 28 Days Holiday

Sea Global is partnering with a leading insurance company with a multi-billion-pound global turnover. Recognized for industry leadership and a high-performing procurement team, they are expanding and seeking a motivated Indirect Procurement Category Manager for a 12-month fixed term.

Reporting to the Head of Procurement, you will shape and execute strategic procurement activities across indirect spend categories, supporting key projects during a critical business phase.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the Head of Procurement to design and implement procurement strategies
• Support daily operations and initiatives within the procurement team
• Develop category and sub-category plans aligned with business goals
• Manage supplier relationships, including negotiations, risk mitigation, and performance monitoring via KPIs and SLAs
• Build strong partnerships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers for seamless delivery

Role & Responsibilities:

• Experience managing indirect procurement categories such as HR, Legal, Finance, Insurance, Travel, Facilities Management, or similar
• Knowledge of category management principles and best practices
• Experience in a similar sector is advantageous but not essential
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate at all levels
