Job Description:

CK Group is recruiting for a Procurement Category Manager, Facilities Management, to join a growing research facility in Oxford on a permanent basis. The role is hybrid, requiring three days on-site per week.

The new campus will feature state-of-the-art R&D facilities, laboratories, oncology clinics, and will bridge scientific discovery with real-world applications by integrating biomedical science, engineering, and public health.

The Role:

Seeking an experienced, commercially savvy Procurement Category Manager to oversee Hard and Soft Facilities Management services, including Laboratory Equipment and Services.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement category strategies for Facilities Management procurement, covering M&E maintenance, cleaning, security, catering, workplace services, and minor construction works.
• Manage procurement for related subcategories, including sourcing and managing Laboratory Equipment and technical services.
• Lead tendering, negotiations, supplier selection, and contract awards, ensuring value, quality, and risk mitigation.
• Build relationships with Facilities teams, Real Estate, Laboratory Managers, Health & Safety, Finance, and Legal departments.
• Conduct market and supplier analysis to identify cost savings, improvements, innovation, and sustainability opportunities.

Your Background:

• Extensive procurement experience, especially in Facilities Management sourcing.
• Experience in procuring laboratory equipment and services within an FM context.
• Background in biotechnology or pharmaceuticals.
• Proven contract negotiation skills.
• BSc in Procurement, Facilities Management, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
• MCIPS qualification or working towards it.
