Job summary

Vico Homes is seeking a Procurement Category Manager to join its Procurement Team at the Castleford Head Office. The role offers 37 hours per week on a permanent basis, with flexible working patterns within the operating area.

You will manage strategic procurement categories, drive value for money, social value and compliant procurement outcomes in line with Public Contracts Regulations 2015 and the Procurement Act 2023. A rewarding role in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• MCIPS or Level 4 qualification with active study
• Experience sourcing goods and services for medium to high value projects
• Knowledge of Public Contracts Regulations 2015 and Procurement Act 2023
• Ability to work through complex problems with minimal supervision
• Customer-focused and collaborative approach to working with stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Manage medium to high value, high risk and complex projects and contracts ensuring regulatory and contractual compliance
• Develop category procurement strategies and sourcing plans to maximise spend leverage and value for money
• Develop commercial and operational purchasing strategies with the Senior Procurement Category Manager
• Build strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders to provide commercial advice
