Job summary

Sainsbury's is seeking a Procurement Buyer within Technology Services, Infrastructure and Strategy to own the Data Governance and Information Security category. You will manage a large portfolio of security-related projects, shaping category direction, and driving value while maintaining strong relationships across senior stakeholders.

You will develop and execute sourcing strategies, lead tenders and negotiations, and ensure policy compliance.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable category management experience, including end-to-end sourcing and commercial negotiation.
• Proven ability to autonomously manage a high-volume portfolio of complex, high-value projects.
• Strong stakeholder relationship skills, including senior leaders.
• Analytical capability to evaluate costs and options using data.
• Ability to translate complex requirements into practical category solutions.

Responsibilities

• Take category ownership of Data Governance and Information Security.
• Manage a portfolio of 30–40 concurrent projects with high-value requirements.
• Develop and execute category and sourcing strategies for security technology solutions.
• Lead tenders, negotiations and ensure compliance with Procurement Policy.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior leaders; work in-office 1–2 days/month, rest from home.
