Job summary

Nomad Digital is the world's leading provider of passenger and fleet connectivity solutions to the railway industry. The Procurement Buyer will join the global procurement team to partner with suppliers and support the delivery of group procurement processes, contracts and SLAs for a defined expenditure base.

Based in the UK, the role requires a CIPS qualification, a degree in procurement and at least five years in procurement, with ERP/MRP experience (NetSuite) and strong communication and

Qualifications

• CIPS or equivalent qualification is required.
• Degree in Procurement & Supply Chain or related discipline required.
• Minimum of 5 years working in a procurement role or equivalent.
• Experience of working in or managing projects representing procurement as a function.
• Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems such as NetSuite.
• Experience of contract management processes and practices.
• Experience leading and working within multi-stakeholder groups across the organization.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with internal and external customers.
• Excellent computer proficiency (Office 365 applications: Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Power BI).
• Ability to challenge the status quo and develop innovative alternatives.
• Flexible mindset for role requirements.

Responsibilities

• Supports the procurement and supply chain director with all group-related procurement policy and reporting needs.
• Represents procurement at internal project meetings and communicates with stakeholders to meet deadlines.
• Engages with suppliers to build partnerships and support delivery performance and risk management.
• Leads direct and indirect category sourcing to balance quality, cost and delivery.
• Delivers contract management and supplier relationship management for existing and new contracts.
• Delivers annual savings as per the group procurement delivery plan.
• Manages logistics and stock requirements and supports stock reduction initiatives.
• Ensures stock and lead-time information is shared with internal stakeholders for projects.
• Identifies system improvements aligned with business objectives.
• Maintains and updates Nomad internal IT systems and ensures processes are followed.

The successful individual will be responsible for working in partnership with Nomad's suppliers to strengthen our global supply-chain.As Procurement Buyer the successful candidate will be responsiblefor the delivery of group procurement processes supporting the business plus anyassociated contract management and service level agreements for a specified group of supplier expenditure

• Supports the procurement& supply chaindirectorwith all group related procurement policy and any associated processesand reporting requirements

• Managelogisticsand stock requirementsas well assupporting stockreduction activities across thebusiness.
• Ensurethat adequate stock andlead-timeinformation iscommunicated to all internal stakeholders to support projects
• Identifysystem improvementsin line with business objectives
• Management and update of Nomad internal IT systems ensuring processes are followed and applied

Qualification & Experience Requirements

• CIPS or equivalent qualification isrequired
