Procurement Buyer Role Overview:
  1. Own and manage a number of preferred supplier agreements, both pre and post contract award, including implementation of services and ongoing service reviews involving all relevant stakeholders.
  2. Validate all CPS requisitions received to ensure requestors have complied with Buying Rules. Liaise with requestors where additional information is required.
  3. Organise and administer external supplier reviews and internal focus groups with stakeholders to review categories or specific preferred supplier agreements.
  4. Provide cover for Procurement Managers during periods of absence.
  5. Undertake sourcing opportunities.
  6. Take responsibility for managing a category and areas of spend.
Procurement Buyer Role Requirements:
  1. Previous experience working within Procurement.
  2. Degree educated is essential.
  3. Highly organised and able to effectively prioritise competing demands, deliver according to committed timelines, and work on own initiative.
  4. Highly computer literate, including advanced Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills.
