Job summary

Comxps Ltd is seeking a procurement professional for a government contract in Mansfield. The role requires public sector experience, UK procurement legislation knowledge, and experience delivering multiple procurement projects.

The candidate should show strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills and an ability to produce clear, auditable records. This is a 6-month contract (possible extension to 12 months) with hybrid work at 2 Mansfield offices, and BPSS clearance.

Qualifications

• Must have public sector experience and be aware of UK procurement laws.
• CIPS qualification or working towards it, or equivalent procurement experience.
• Experience managing multiple procurement projects; strong governance and documentation skills.
• Knowledge of Procurement Act 2023, transparency and governance requirements.
• Familiar with procurement lifecycle: evaluation, award, contract management.
• Ability to apply value for money, transparency, integrity, equal treatment.

Essential:

• Public Sector Experience
• CIPS qualified, working towards CIPS, or able to demonstrate equivalent procurement and commercial experience.
• Relevant procurement and commercial experience, including managing multiple procurement projects.
• Good knowledge of UK public procurement legislation, including the Procurement Act 2023, transparency requirements and organisational governance.
• Knowledge of procurement best practice across the procurement lifecycle, including evaluation, award and contract management.
• Able to apply procurement principles including value for money, transparency, integrity and equal treatment.
• Good negotiation, stakeholder management and commercial decision-making skills.
• Able to work independently, manage competing priorities and deliver to deadlines.
• Able to understand business needs, market conditions and commercial risks.
• Able to engage effectively with stakeholders and support value-for-money outcomes.
• Able to produce clear, accurate and auditable procurement records.
• Able to apply procurement legislation and policy proportionately.
