Job summary

You will work with the Procurement Manager, learn purchasing processes, and develop knowledge of suppliers, products and systems while contributing to on-time delivery and accuracy in procurement data.

Responsibilities

• Assist with placing purchase orders for key suppliers and ordering non-stock or special items.
• Monitor order progress and liaise with suppliers to confirm delivery dates.
• Help maintain stock levels and ensure goods are ordered accurately and on time.
• Maintain accurate purchasing records, product information and supplier data.
• Assist with logging supplier non-conformances and updating procurement systems.
• Develop knowledge of products, materials, suppliers and purchasing processes.
• Communicate with sales and production teams to keep them updated on order progress.
• Support the procurement team in meeting deadlines and maintaining service standards.
