About the role: This is an operational position responsible for the full procurement process, from processing orders to receipting goods in our warehouse and packaging them for our engineering team to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare and process purchase orders, track deliveries, and resolve issues.
  2. Communicate with suppliers, obtain quotes, negotiate prices, arrange samples, and source new suppliers.
  3. Conduct regular stock checks, reconcile discrepancies, and process returns for faulty or unwanted items within required timeframes.
  4. Assist in managing inventory levels in the warehouse and engineering van stock to ensure adequate supplies.
  5. Monitor budgets, compare prices, and support cost-saving initiatives.
  6. Generate and analyze procurement reports to track performance and identify improvement areas.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Ability to work well within a team environment.
  • Strong IT skills, including proficiency in all Microsoft applications.
  • Excellent telephone manner.
  • High levels of self-motivation.
