About the Role:
The Procurement Assistant will be responsible for supporting the procurement team with the purchasing of electrical components, materials, and tools required for various projects. The role requires a strong attention to detail, good organisational skills, and the ability to liaise effectively with suppliers to ensure timely and accurate deliveries. Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in sourcing and procuring electrical products, tools, and materials for ongoing projects
  • Liaise with suppliers to ensure the timely delivery of goods and services
  • Process and track purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and timely updates
  • Maintain inventory records and track stock levels to prevent shortages
  • Support supplier evaluation and on-boarding processes
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure procurement needs are met on time and within budget
  • Monitor delivery schedules and follow up on any delays or discrepancies
  • Provide administrative support to the procurement team as needed

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a procurement or administrative role (experience in electrical or construction-related industries is advantageous)
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well both independently and within a team
