Butler Ross are currently recruiting for a Procurement Assistant on behalf of a fantastic, well-established, Bristol-based wholesaler. This position will be reporting direct to the Group Purchasing Manager, and is a vital role supporting the wider supply chain function.

The salary on offer is £28,000-£30,000 and whilst predominantly office based, you will have the flexibility to work from home once a week.

Your Key Responsibilities will Include

  • Liaising with the Procurement Team to effectively track and expedite orders and materials
  • Negotiating directly with suppliers
  • Resolving supplier invoice disputes
  • Identifying opportunities and implementing processes to streamline purchasing processes
  • Monitor stock levels to maintain optimal inventory and avoid shortages or overstocking
  • Ensuring accuracy and integrity of the stock management system
  • Supporting initiatives to reduce inventory levels and supply chain optimisation

Ideal Experience & Skills

  • Some prior purchasing / procurement experience, or inventory control / management
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Highly organised with the ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) experience with ERP systems a bonus!
  • A proactive, self-motivated team player with a continuous improvement mindset
