An educational trust in York is seeking a Procurement and Tender Officer to oversee procurement activities. This role involves negotiating with suppliers, managing tenders, and ensuring value for public money. The ideal candidate will have procurement experience and knowledge of public sector purchasing. A part-time option is available, and a collaborative senior leadership team supports the role.
We seek to appoint a Procurement and Tender Officer to join our established Central Services Team at Heartwood Learning Trust.
Heartwood Learning Trust has fourteen academies located within York, Hull and North Yorkshire. Our Trust comprises six secondary, six primary and two alternative provision academies, and our values of Respect, Teamwork and Kindness underpin our vision ‘life in all it’s fullness - a place to thrive.
Deliver the Trust’s procurement activities and ensure they remain aligned with the Trust’s vision and values. Key activities include:
You will work with the Chief Finance Officer, Financial Controller and finance colleagues in Schools and Academies, liaising with suppliers and contractors to deliver an outstanding service to schools, ensuring value for public money.
Experience of procurement including commercial negotiation is essential, with experience of public sector purchasing and associated organisations being an advantage.
This role is based at our Trust offices in York or Hull depending on the successful candidate's location. An ability and willingness to travel to locations across the Trust is vital.
