Overview

Procurement and Supply Chain Assistant - FTC (3 Months) | Liverpool (Knowsley). We're supporting a leading organisation in Knowsley in their search for a Procurement and Supply Chain Assistant. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a keen interest in procurement and supply chain operations, looking to grow their career in a fast-paced and innovative environment. Salary: Starting from £24,000 per annum (DOE). Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday. Contract Type: Fixed-Term Contract / Temporary (with potential to become permanent).

Responsibilities
  • Assist the Purchasing Manager with procurement and supply chain tasks
  • Raise and manage purchase orders, primarily in indirect categories
  • Liaise and negotiate with suppliers across the UK and Europe
  • Expedite deliveries and negotiate optimal delivery dates to meet operational needs
  • Chase suppliers to ensure timely fulfilment and resolve delays
  • Maintain accurate records and update procurement and supply chain spreadsheets
  • Review order acknowledgements using the ERP system
  • Perform general administrative duties, including electronic filing
Essential Experience & Skills
  • ERP system experience: confident in navigating and updating procurement data
  • Order management: experience raising and tracking purchase orders
  • Delivery expediting: ability to negotiate delivery dates and ensure timely arrival (e.g. for Colloids)
  • Supplier communication: strong customer service and follow-up skills
  • Procurement knowledge: previous experience or a strong interest in pursuing a career in procurement
  • Professional development: ideally working towards or interested in pursuing a CIPS qualification
