Job description

Procurement and Cost Coordinator
Ivybridge, Devon
Salary: £28-30,000
Job Type: Full-Time | Permanent

DK Recruitment are on the lookout for a proactive and detail-driven Procurement and Cost Control Specialist to join a national leader in shop fitting and interior contracting. Based in Ivybridge, you'll play a vital role in ensuring that every project is delivered on time, within budget, and with the best value.

Day to Duties
  1. Taking ownership of job budgets—tracking, reporting, and keeping spending on target.
  2. Collaborating with Project Managers and the Finance team to keep cost records accurate and up to date.
  3. Leading procurement efforts, from negotiating supplier rates to managing material orders and bookings.
  4. Staying on top of industry standards and compliance, especially regarding subcontractor agreements and procurement rules.
  5. Raising and processing purchase orders, and handling logistics like site accommodation when needed.
Essential Skills
  1. A background in procurement and job costing within the construction or fit-out sector is essential.
  2. You're analytical, organised, and comfortable with numbers and spreadsheets.
  3. Strong communicator who can juggle tasks and maintain supplier relationships with ease.
  4. Ideally, you've used Excel, job costing systems, and even tools like Sedex or Sage.
Desirable Skills
  1. Experience in accounts or working with finance software.
  2. Familiarity with supplier engagement platforms.
