The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Procurement and Commercial Manager to join our Procurement and Commercial team supporting our SSEN Transmission business.

SSEN Transmission is central to the UK's transition to net zero. Our network will be key in delivering the power needed for decarbonisation and supporting the UK's energy security ambitions. We are investing over £20bn in Scotland's electricity system over the next 10 years, and this role will be integral to delivering this investment.

The role involves leading strategic Procurement and Commercial activities within SSE Transmission, ensuring compliance and effective reporting in a regulated environment.

You will

1. Develop strategic relationships with suppliers and manage procurement processes effectively.
2. Compile and analyze Procurement and Commercial data to generate insights.
3. Collaborate with teams to deliver excellent service and support continuous improvement initiatives.
4. Ensure clear communication with stakeholders across various departments.

Qualifications and Skills

1. Proven experience in Procurement and Commercial roles, including cost management, negotiation, and supply chain metrics.
2. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
