Overview

Procurement Analyst | S2 | CFO | Multiple Locations

Role purpose

Join our community. As the Procurement Analyst you will support the Category & Sourcing Lead and Managers, assisting Santander UK and other group entities that Santander UK provide service to in achieving its cost to income targets. This role contributes to enabling the Procurement team to be the first point of call for professional advisory support to achieve optimum outcomes for the bank. It involves maintaining and analysing MI and data required for day-to-day management of category, sourcing and supplier management, and identifying opportunities to enhance value for the business.

The difference you’ll make

As a Procurement Analyst you’ll play a key part in the continual evolvement of Cost Management and Procurement, driving us towards Even Better Cost Management and Procurement. You will provide cross‑business and category analysis to help identify opportunities to improve sourcing outcomes from ideation to execution. You will act as an expert reference point for the bank’s cost management process and the external market, and ensure that the quality, compliance and cost‑effectiveness of the work delivered by our suppliers meets Santander expectations.

Responsibilities
  • Day to day tracking of output and sourcing pipeline delivery of tactical procurement.
  • Understand and analyse data to support the production and maintenance of relevant MI & Reporting; including contributing to category strategies, sourcing activities, savings reporting and supplier management packs and meetings.
  • Contribute ideas to drive cost and business benefits (tangible & intangible) to deliver against Procurement and business targets.
  • Support in the generation of RFXs and negotiation strategies.
  • Delivery of negotiations through procurement systems.
What you’ll bring
  • Experience of successful category management in a global procurement organization.
  • Strong sourcing administration skills, gained from execution of sourcing activity at volume.
  • Analytical skills and knowledge.
  • Experience in operating in procurement systems (SAP, Globality etc).
It would also be nice for you to have
  • Basic knowledge of the Financial Services regulatory framework.
  • Experience in analytical tools (BI, Tableau etc).
  • Experience of supplier management.

Our preferred location for this role is Unity Place; we will also consider applications from Bradford and Glasgow.

  • £500 annual cash allowance to spend on our great range of benefits. *Include salary where authorised
  • Eligible for a discretionary performance‑related annual bonus.
  • We put 8% of salary into your pension, even if you don’t contribute yourself. We’ll pay in up to 12.5% of salary if you contribute as well, and you can take some of our contribution in cash if you prefer.
