A leading global hedge fund is seeking a Vendor Management professional in London to act as the primary liaison with software vendors. The role involves managing contracts, improving processes, and collaborating with internal stakeholders. Candidates should have 2-5 years of relevant experience and strong communication skills.
My client, a global, market leading hedge fund are looking to make a high priority, newly created hire for their London based Vendor Management team.
The hire will be trained to take on a global remit and act as a main point of contact and chief liaison between the fund and 3rd party software and technology providers (a selection of which he/she will eventually go on to take ownership for). The role will sit in a centralized vendor management function based in London, but will have coverage of vendor management and IT procurement across all jurisdictions that the fund operates in.
The individual hired into this role will be working with teams across the entire fund including investment team heads / traders, technology, compliance and business management. You will actively work with key stakeholders internally and externally on managing contracts (renewals, adjustments and negotiations), building relationships with and onboarding new software vendors and help improve BCP and connectivity for employees in all jurisdictions.
This role will include project work whereby you will be working on constant process improvement, mapping potential changes in market vendors and leading the process of implementing new software/technology to be used by teams across the fund.
Ideal candidates should have 2-5 years of experience working in ‘data’ or procurement. Any experience with 3rd party vendor relationship management, IT procurement, contract renewals or licensing is advantageous. Very strong communication, presentation and stakeholder engagement skills are crucial. It would be helpful for a candidate to have a degree / solid academics in a relevant field.
My client are budgeting a year one £65-85k base salary (essentially ensuring that the successful hire will have a very attractive step up on his/her current base salary) + a significant bonus percentage for a top performer. The firm offer one of the best benefits packages in the London hedge fund space.
