Job summary

Morson Edge is recruiting a Procurement Analyst to Bristol on an initial 12-month contract. The role sits in the Rotary Wing Enterprise (RWE) Supply Chain, building a Procurement Finance Analyst capability in the UK.

You will analyse supplier proposals, support pricing and negotiations, and work with Finance, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams to drive cost efficiencies. A Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years in a related function are required.

Qualifications

• Five years' experience in a relevant function such as Finance, Contracts, Estimating, Procurement Financial Analysis, Business Operations or Supplier Management.

• Experience working with supplier-related data and proposals.

Responsibilities

• Lead pricing analyses of procurement and supplier proposals and establish a Procurement Finance Analyst capability in the UK.
• Develop macroeconomic and microeconomic health metrics across the RWE supply chain.
• Gather and analyse data to evaluate supplier financial performance and identify improvement opportunities.

Morson Edge are currently recruiting for a procurement Analyst to be based out of Bristol on an initial 12-month contract, to work on behalf of our Aerospace clients.

Role Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Rotary Wing Enterprise (RWE) Supply Chain organisation and establish a Procurement Finance Analyst capability in the UK.

The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and work collaboratively with RWE Procurement teams to identify cost efficiencies within supplier proposals.

The role will support the development of negotiation positions for the procurement of goods and services by conducting cost and price analyses of supplier proposals in partnership with the RWE Supplier Management and Procurement team. Acting as the primary financial liaison during contract acquisitions, the Procurement Financial Analyst / Cost Analyst will assess complex supplier proposals and establish fair and reasonable pricing positions. This will involve using quantitative and statistical methods, market trends, and cost models to support government and commercial negotiations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead pricing analyses of procurement and supplier proposals for RWE and establish a Procurement Finance Analyst capability in the UK, drawing on best practices and established processes across our client’s wider enterprise.
• Develop macroeconomic and microeconomic health metrics across the RWE supply chain, including tracking index performance, foreign exchange movements, and legislative impacts.
• Gather and analyse data to evaluate supplier financial performance and identify improvement opportunities.
• Analyse complex supplier proposals to determine fair and reasonable pricing positions.
• Conduct detailed cost and price analyses using statistical tools, market trend data, and parametric models.
• Substantiate cost estimates and lead supplier and customer negotiations.
• Promote cross-functional collaboration across Finance, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Extract and analyse data, preparing reports that measure supplier and internal performance against plan.
• Engage with teams across our client’s wider enterprise to identify best practices for our client and develop processes aligned with the broader organisation.
• Work closely with Finance to develop material cost-tracking processes and an effective planning cadence for monitoring our client’s material expenditure.
• Assess our client’s supplier pricing arrangements, including firm and cost-plus models, and advise Procurement teams on spend profiles.
• Conduct financial, operational, proposal, and procedural audits of supplier data and systems.
• Develop estimates using historical data, parametric analysis, technical requirements, and other relevant data sources.
• Anticipate and champion organisational change, remaining adaptable as business needs evolve.
• Support Procurement teams in developing negotiation strategies that deliver best value for our clients and facilitate the placement of contracts for goods and services.
• Support the creation of bid packages, including supplier source selection and proposal evaluation, in accordance with our client’s Integrated Business Acquisition Process (IBAP).
• Brief our client’s stakeholders on RWE Supply Chain financial performance and develop KPIs to measure and monitor overall material finance performance.
• Represent Supply Chain Management at programme meetings and lead key supplier meetings.
• Build positive, collaborative working relationships with the RWE programme team.

Basic Qualifications and Experience
