Job summary

Greencore (Formally Bakkavor Group) is recruiting for a Finance PTP/Payments lead based in Spalding. The role is hybrid, Monday to Friday, with responsibility for invoice processing, payments, audits, and team leadership within the PTP function.

The successful candidate will bring strong knowledge of financial systems, ERP experience (S/4 HANA preferred), and a track record of guiding and coaching a PTP team to meet SLAs and operational targets. The role offers competitive salary and benefits.

Qualifications

Strong knowledge of financial systems and finance processes.
Understanding of best practices and metrics for PTP.
Experience with ERP systems, especially S/4 HANA.
Ability to guide the PTP team, set goals, and coach staff.

Responsibilities

Monitor and review PO and Non-PO invoice processing.
Oversee Credit and Refund processing.
Ensure accuracy and timeliness in invoice processing.
Oversee standard and ad-hoc payment processing.
Review payment run reports and submit for approval.
Ensure payments align with internal controls and cash flow objectives.
Reconcile supplier statements during month-end close.
Resolve PO discrepancies and settlement issues.
Address escalations and supplier inquiries within SLAs.
Support internal and external audits with necessary documentation.
Maintain a robust internal control environment.
Collaborate for timely and accurate month-end close.
Build strong team relationships and respond to queries.
Provide guidance, coaching, and training to PTP associates.
Conduct performance reviews and monitor team metrics.
Cultivate relationships with stakeholders and suppliers.
Identify continuous improvement opportunities.
Collaborate to develop and monitor performance measures.
Support course correction activities as needed.
Respond to customer feedback surveys.

What you'll be doing:

Invoice Processing

Monitor and review PO and Non-PO invoice processing.

Build strong team relationships and respond to queries.
Provide guidance, coaching, and training to PTP associates.

What we're looking for:

Strong knowledge of financial systems and Finance processes.
Understanding of best practices and metrics for PTP.
Previous experience in working with ERP, specifically with S/4 HANA preferred.
Ability to guide the PTP team by setting clear goals, prioritise effectively, motivating team members, and fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
