Greencore Group plc in London (Park Royal) seeks a Process Technologist for a fixed-term maternity cover to support the development of manufacturing capability and ensure product launches meet food-safety, technical, and commercial standards.

You'll work with cross-functional teams to deliver trials, validate processes, and maintain strict compliance across CCPs and HACCP while driving continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver manufacturing trials in line with critical paths and use structured problem-solving to resolve issues.
• Prepare and complete transit tests, review microbiological and nutritional results, align with customer codes.
• Coordinate post-trial evaluations, samples, organoleptic assessments and QAS reports with action plans.
• Conduct food safety validations in line with CCPs and HACCP principles; ensure retailer procedures compliance.
• Manage raw materials and packaging approval status; control costs and protect critical path.
• Plan and support customer panels; build stakeholder relationships and drive improvements from feedback.
• Monitor factory processes; analyze data and identify production issues and cost-reduction opportunities.
• Complete controlled trials, pre-production and launch documentation on time.
• Operate safely, report hazards, and support health, safety and environmental performance.

What you’ll be doing

In this dynamic role as a Process Technologist, you will support the development of manufacturing capability to take approved product concepts into full-scale production.

Working closely with cross-functional teams and customers, you will ensure products are delivered in line with food safety, technical, health & safety, financial and commercial standards, supporting successful launches in a fast-paced environment.

Role Accountabilities

• Deliver manufacturing trials in line with critical paths, using structured problem-solving to identify, capture and resolve issues across functions
• Prepare and complete transit tests, review microbiological and nutritional results, and ensure alignment with customer codes and project objectives
• Facilitate post-trial evaluations, coordinating samples, reviewing organoleptic assessments and producing QAS reports with clear action plans
• Conduct food safety validations in line with site CCPs and HACCP principles, ensuring compliance with retailer procedures
• Manage raw materials and packaging approval status, controlling costs and proactively resolving issues to protect the critical path
• Plan and support customer panels, build effective stakeholder relationships and implement improvements based on feedback
• Monitor factory processes, collect and analyse data, identify issues in standard production and support cost reduction opportunities
• Complete controlled trial, pre-production and launch documentation accurately and on time
• Operate safely at all times, complying with legislation, reporting hazards promptly and supporting continuous improvement in health, safety and environmental performance
