Greencore London Meals Cumberland is seeking a Process Technologist to help develop manufacturing capability and bring approved concepts into full-scale production.

You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure products meet food safety, technical, health & safety and commercial standards while supporting successful launches in a fast-paced environment. The role requires hands-on problem-solving and a proactive approach to improvements.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Deliver manufacturing trials in line with critical paths and resolve issues.
• Review microbiological and nutritional results and align with customer codes.
• Coordinate post-trial evaluations and produce actionable reports.
• Conduct food safety validations in line with CCPs and HACCP.
• Monitor raw materials and packaging status to protect timelines.
• Plan and support customer panels and stakeholder relationships.
• Analyse data to identify issues and support cost reduction opportunities.
• Complete trial, pre-production and launch documentation on time.
• Operate safely and support continuous health, safety and environmental improvements.

What You’ll Be Doing

In this dynamic role as a Process Technologist, you will support the development of manufacturing capability to take approved product concepts into full‑scale production.

Working closely with cross‑functional teams and customers, you will ensure products are delivered in line with food safety, technical, health & safety, financial and commercial standards, supporting successful launches in a fast‑paced environment.

Role Accountabilities

• Deliver manufacturing trials in line with critical paths, using structured problem‑solving to identify, capture and resolve issues across functions
• Prepare and complete transit tests, review microbiological and nutritional results, and ensure alignment with customer codes and project objectives
• Facilitate post‑trial evaluations, coordinating samples, reviewing organoleptic assessments and producing QAS reports with clear action plans
• Conduct food safety validations in line with site CCPs and HACCP principles, ensuring compliance with retailer procedures
• Manage raw materials and packaging approval status, controlling costs and proactively resolving issues to protect the critical path
• Plan and support customer panels, build effective stakeholder relationships and implement improvements based on feedback
• Monitor factory processes, collect and analyse data, identify issues in standard production and support cost reduction opportunities
• Complete controlled trial, pre‑production and launch documentation accurately and on time
• Operate safely at all times, complying with legislation, reporting hazards promptly and supporting continuous improvement in health, safety and environmental performance
