Process Technologist - 12 Month FTC (Maternity Cover)

Location: Rogerstone, Newport

Working Hours: 8am - 4pm, Monday to Friday, with flexibility for occasional weekend and night shifts during product launches.

About the Role

The Process Technologist manages the transition of concept-approved products into full-scale production, ensuring customer requirements, product specifications, and food safety standards are met. The role involves factory trials, pre-production activities, and product launches, working collaboratively across teams. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract covering maternity leave.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage factory trials, ensuring technical, safety, and legal compliance.
  • Lead pre-production and product launches for smooth transition to production.
  • Oversee customer quality panels, approvals, and quality contracts.
  • Collaborate on NPD, EPD, and VO initiatives.
  • Manage factory work, administrative tasks, and sample preparation.

About You

Ideal candidates are passionate about food product development, highly organized, detail-oriented, hands-on, and capable of managing multiple projects and cross-functional collaboration.

Key Requirements:

  • Some experience in food processing or manufacturing is essential; factory background preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects and timelines.
  • Attention to detail, proactive, and confident in teamwork.
  • Stable work history with opportunities for ongoing training.
