Our client, a leading global group, is seeking a skilled Process Technologist to join their team in Maidstone, Kent. This is an exciting opportunity for a quality-focused professional to make a significant impact in a company dedicated to creating efficient and scalable solutions.

Position Overview

As a Process Technologist, you will oversee daily activities related to quality, chemical safety, ordering, storage, use, and system maintenance. Working closely with Operations Management and shift teams, you will ensure Quality Assurance, good cost control of additives, and compliance with site requirements. Your role is crucial in maintaining the company's commitment to the circular economy and sustainable practices.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the day-to-day QC function, ensuring equipment calibration, maintenance, and ISO9001 compliance
  • Investigate and analyze customer complaints
  • Monitor and control process chemistry and biocide programs for optimal cost and quality
  • Collaborate with production and suppliers to optimize chemical system efficiency and cost
  • Stocktake and reorder process chemicals as needed
  • Maintain COSHH / GMP Register and conduct assessments
  • Plan and conduct chemical trials supporting production and the effluent treatment plant
  • Support water treatment plant operations through testing and analysis
  • Recommend improvements for site operation, safety, and efficiency
Requirements

  • Familiarity with ISO9001, COSHH, and GMP standards
