Job summary

Greencore London Meals Elveden, Park Royal is seeking a Process Technologist to develop manufacturing capability for scale-up of approved concepts. You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure launches meet food safety, technical and commercial standards in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include running manufacturing trials, validating safety protocols, coordinating trials and data analyses, and driving cost-conscious process improvements while maintaining quality across sites.

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing or process-led environment.
• Strong knowledge of food safety and production standards.
• Ability to manage critical paths and coordinate multiple activities.

Responsibilities

• Deliver manufacturing trials in line with critical paths and resolve issues across functions.
• Prepare transit tests, review microbiological and nutritional results, align with codes.
• Coordinate post-trial evaluations, samples, organoleptic assessments and QAS reports.
• Conduct food safety validations following CCPs and HACCP principles.
• Manage raw materials and packaging approvals, control costs and protect critical path.
• Plan customer panels, build stakeholder relationships and drive improvements.

What you’ll be doing

In this dynamic role as a Process Technologist, you will support the development of manufacturing capability to take approved product concepts into full-scale production.

Working closely with cross-functional teams and customers, you will ensure products are delivered in line with food safety, technical, health & safety, financial and commercial standards, supporting successful launches in a fast-paced environment.

Role Accountabilities

• Deliver manufacturing trials in line with critical paths, using structured problem-solving to identify, capture and resolve issues across functions
• Prepare and complete transit tests, review microbiological and nutritional results, and ensure alignment with customer codes and project objectives
• Facilitate post-trial evaluations, coordinating samples, reviewing organoleptic assessments and producing QAS reports with clear action plans
• Conduct food safety validations in line with site CCPs and HACCP principles, ensuring compliance with retailer procedures
• Manage raw materials and packaging approval status, controlling costs and proactively resolving issues to protect the critical path
• Plan and support customer panels, build effective stakeholder relationships and implement improvements based on feedback
• Monitor factory processes, collect and analyse data, identify issues in standard production and support cost reduction opportunities
• Complete controlled trial, pre-production and launch documentation accurately and on time
• Operate safely at all times, complying with legislation, reporting hazards promptly and supporting continuous improvement in health, safety and environmental performance
