Job description

Rare opportunity for a Process Technologist based at a large chemical based manufacturing site in North Birmingham. Great salary, benefits and prospects. Monday to Friday 7.00 - 3.30.

This site is part of a global recycling / packaging manufacturinggroup. The Process Technologist willbecome the site specialist for all activities related to water and effluent, in doing so keep the site at the forefront of related technologies.

The Process Technologist will be accountable for Safety and Environmental performance of the water and effluent systems. Oversee the day-to-day activities relating to incoming water and effluent treatment, ordering of appropriate chemicals and maintenance.

Support production operations by testing, monitoring, and reporting stock and reject samples across a range of processes.

Work closely with the Production Superintendents and Shift Managers to ensure quality, cost control and site compliance.

Qualifications and Experience for Chemical Process Technologist;

Essential

  • BSc or equivalent in engineering or technical field (chemistry, biology)
  • Laboratory skills
  • Strong communicator

Desirable

  • Water treatment process knowledge
  • Environmental permits
