What do our Process Technicians do?

Reporting to the Process Team Leader, you will be responsible for quality and technical areas in the process to produce high-quality milk products reliably and cost-effectively. You will oversee unit operations related to milk reception and milk/cream processing.

This key role ensures raw and finished products meet standards, adhere to legal requirements, and align with Arla Foods' Business Strategy.

Responsibilities:
  • Operate SCADA systems for milk intake, processing, cream export, and CIP cleaning.
  • Conduct laboratory testing for raw and finished products' quality approval.
  • Achieve departmental KPIs such as safety, quality, efficiency, wastage, and costs.
  • Follow roster patterns flexibly to meet business needs.
  • Monitor equipment, troubleshoot minor issues, and escalate problems.
  • Maintain food hygiene, safety standards, and quality protocols.
  • Follow procedures, keep records, and input data into SAP.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Promote communication and good working relationships across teams.
  • Participate in investigations and team decision-making.
  • Strive to reduce wastage of products, utilities, and materials.
Candidate Requirements:
  • Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends.
  • Independent, team-oriented, flexible, and responsible.
  • Experience in dairy or chilled food manufacturing is advantageous but not essential.
  • Willingness to learn multiple skills, including processing, production, and intake.
  • GCSEs or equivalent in Math and English.
  • Proficiency in PC skills, especially Excel and SAP.
  • Enthusiasm for change, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Reliability and good time management.
