Process Technician - Sterile Services

Tiverton HSSU Hub | Sterile Services | Permanent | Full time

Up to £24,358.47 per annum + 30% night shift increment

37.5 hours per week. Night shift: Monday to Friday 10pm to 6am

As a Process Technician at our Tiverton HSSU Hub, you'll bring a basic standard of general education with proven literacy and numeracy skills. You're organised with good communication skills, and ideally you have evidence of sterile services training; however, full training will be given to the right candidate. Providing a support service to our hospital theatres is a vital part of the process which can be rewarding and satisfying at the same time.

Responsibilities
  • Process Medical instruments for surgical operations
  • Learn the importance of sterile instruments from start to finish
  • Help to ensure all instruments are in good working order and learn all their names and uses
  • Regularly check medical equipment for damage and report any faults
  • Maintain a clean and tidy work environment
  • Take action to resolve any problems
  • Escalate issues where necessary
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with our policies and procedures
  • Work with a highly skilled team
  • Night shift automatically paid a 30% enhancement to salary
  • Monday to Friday 10pm to 6am
  • Full training given
  • Basic computer skills are vital to the role
