Job Title: Process Technician – Multiskilled

Location: Sittingbourne, Kent - you will also need to be willing to travel across multiple sites and have a current full driving licence.

Contract Type: Permanent

Hours: 38 hours

Salary: Base pay ranges from £39,479.15 to £46,869.22 per annum (depending on skills and experience)

Qualifications required: Level 3 NVQ in mechanical and/or electrical work. Applications without these qualifications will not be considered.

Additional info: The role requires standby commitment with additional payments and overtime, potentially increasing earnings by up to £10,000 annually.

What we are looking for:

We seek a Process Technician - Multiskilled for our Waste Water Treatment Team, responsible for maintenance and repairs at waste water treatment works, sludge treatment centres, and pumping stations, ensuring compliance with environmental, quality, and safety standards, and meeting budget targets.

You will use your mechanical and/or electrical expertise to keep sites operational, reduce pollution, and improve processes. We welcome applicants from outside the water industry with fresh ideas.

Qualifications:

Level 3 NVQ in mechanical/electrical work

Ideal candidates will:

  • Understand pumping station operation and wastewater treatment processes
  • Be problem solvers, able to identify and resolve issues or escalate as needed
  • Be excellent communicators, providing technical support to contractors
  • Be resilient, adaptable, and proactive
