Our client provides shot peening and specialist surface finishing of parts for customers from motorsport, aerospace, Defence, and other sectors. We are seeking an individual to be part of a busy workshop team based in Towcester. The post holder will work on a range of processing tasks as directed by the Production Manager in response to workload demands and could include any of the finishing processes.

This may include:

  1. Shot peening (automated and manual)
  2. Coatings
  3. Water bead blasting
  4. Chemical blacking
  5. Masking
  6. Blasting processes

Some experience of working within an engineering environment would be an advantage, as would any familiarity with the clients' processes or their main customer sectors. However, this is not essential and full training would be provided.

This is a busy, varied role within a workplace where health and safety awareness is key. While any relevant experience within an engineering environment would be beneficial, the skills and characteristics we are mostly looking for are as follows:

  1. A sound practical aptitude
  2. A diligent approach to completing all tasks
  3. Good organisational skills and attention to detail
  4. Willingness to learn
  5. Willingness to follow set procedures and written and verbal instructions
  6. Reliability and punctuality

If you think this might be the role for you, we would love to hear from you.
