About the role:

We have a great opportunity for a Process Technician to join our Orpington Water Operations team. You do not need a background in the Water industry. We welcome applications from candidates outside of the sector, bringing fresh perspectives and ideas.

You will be part of the frontline operations team that covers the water treatment sites. This role is essential for our operations; every day is different, working in all weather conditions to ensure our water treatment works operate effectively, maintaining supply and protecting the environment. Responsibilities include PPM of maintenance of equipment to support plant operation.

What you’ll be doing as the Process Technician

• Carrying out scheduled maintenance on plant and equipment to improve resilience.
• Operating and cleaning plant to meet safety standards.
• Responding to reactive jobs following equipment failure.
• Maintaining site cleanliness and security checks.
• Working safely in accordance with health and safety guidelines.

Base Location: Orpington WTW - Kent - BR6 0SQ

Working Pattern: 38 hours, Monday-Friday, 7:30 am – 3:36 pm, with standby and overtime opportunities (additional pay).

• Be self-motivated, disciplined, eager to learn, and have a can-do attitude.
• Respond quickly to faults, understand problems, and resolve them efficiently.
• Have excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Be proactive in suggesting improvements.
• Be prepared for safety training.
• Have knowledge of health and safety standards.
• Hold a full UK driver’s license.
