Job summary

Roche is seeking two Process Technicians to join the Process Engineering team on a 12-month contract, with possible extension. You will gain competence in sensor manufacture line operation, monitor product and process data, and support continuous improvement while maintaining high quality.

Qualifications

• Process Excellence Yellow/Green Belt (additional advantage); preferably degree qualified or relevant experience.
• Experience in rotary converting and/or reel-to-reel printing (rotary screen/flexographic, etc.).
• Knowledge of statistical analysis methods/techniques.
• GMP experience and hands-on Process Technician with relevant industry experience (preferably medical device related).
• Experience in optimizing product and processes; high level of computer literacy.
• Strong problem-solving skills, sense of urgency, detail orientation, and accountability for manufacturing challenges.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with manufacturing technicians and engineers to become competent in sensor manufacture line operation, processes, and procedures.
• Support monitoring of product and process data using statistical analysis techniques.
• Diagnose problems quickly and methodically, and report progress in a structured way.
• Conduct CTQ testing and material/product analysis techniques.
• Investigate and resolve non-conformances and help develop robust OCAPs and preventative measures.
• Support New Product Development (NPD) projects through transfer of pilot work to high-volume manufacture.
• Support validation activities and complete validation documentation in line with business needs.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives through engagement of the production team on shift.
• Ensure the highest levels of quality and compliance are maintained; lead or support change control updates to manufacturing documentation.

Overview

Two Process Technicians are sought to join Roche's Process Engineering team on a 12-month contract, with the possibility of extension. Roles involve working at Athena Motherwell with approximately 70% time at the Bathgate site and one role also requiring work at the Dumyat location. The technicians will collaborate with sensor manufacture and packaging teams, gaining competence in manufacturing operations, diagnosing product and process issues, and supporting continuous improvement while maintaining high quality and productivity.
