Job description

Job Purpose

Assist the Process Engineer in delivering business improvements throughout the Company. Liaise with internal and external customers and suppliers to deliver cost-effective, timely business solutions. Build robust relationships with all business partners and departments.

Main Responsibilities/Job Accountabilities

  1. Deliver support and assistance to the Process Engineer.
  2. Carry out Process Engineering Improvements either at PE direction or own initiative.
  3. Undertake process measurements - including regular torque checks.
  4. Deliver and maintain process equipment, jigs, and fixtures either at the direction of the PE or own initiative.
  5. Strictly follow health and safety procedures and protocols.
  6. Document routine manufacturing processes.
  7. Report data to senior colleagues.
  8. Adhere closely to internal SOPs and external regulations.
  9. Quickly and effectively diagnose routine problems in their process.
  10. Demonstrate confidence and abilities to troubleshoot problems.
  11. Be aware of when to involve senior staff in more complex problems.
  12. Carry out Time and Motion studies.
  13. Conduct risk assessments considering ergonomics, health and safety, and providing best possible manufacturing practices.
  14. Perform regular torque testing and record all identified equipment.
  15. Collect and analyze data to identify process improvement opportunities.
  16. Deliver cost-effective, timely improvements as required.
  17. Liaise with sub-contractors in the pursuit of process improvements.
  18. Continually monitor and improve jigs, fixtures, test equipment, and processes.
  19. Undertake 'hands-on' improvement activities including the design, making, and testing of jigs, fixtures, and fittings.
  20. Liaise with other departments to identify areas of opportunity throughout the business.
  21. Undertake all paperwork and recording activities as required, including raising Purchase Orders.

Key Performance Indicators

Business improvements delivered on time and at cost - including new product introductions.

Monday - Thursday 8.30am - 5pm
Friday 8.30am - 3pm
