Job description

About The Role

We are seeking a Foundry Process Technician with a strong background in manufacturing and engineering environments. The candidate should be computer literate, familiar with Microsoft Office and ERP systems.

Principle Role/Accountabilities:

  • Familiarize yourself with FVC foundry’s current manufacturing processes and in-house database systems.
  • Monitor and review current practices.
  • Take ownership of current process controls to maximize quality.
  • Maintain, review, and update work instructions.
  • Liaise with the molding team to maintain and review sand/resin testing requirements.
  • Collate data from R&D trials and present findings to the technical and production teams.
  • Inspect and dispatch products between Billingham and Sheffield.
  • Conduct internal audits in line with certification requirements.
  • Work safely in accordance with Paralloy LTD safety standards and procedures.
  • Monitor the calibration of machines and equipment according to scheduled plans.

Advantageous but non-essential skills/experience:

  • Previous manufacturing and factory experience.
  • Adaptable and flexible attitude towards work.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Understanding of health & safety, environmental issues, and quality standards.
  • Experience working as part of a team.
  • Foundry experience.

Working hours

37 hours per week: 07:30-16:00, Monday to Thursday, and 07:30-12:30 on Friday.
