Job summary

Centre for Process Innovation (CPI) invites applications for a Scientist 1 - Process to join the National Industrial Biotechnology Facility in Wilton, Redcar. This full-time, permanent role is based on-site in Lazenby, Redcar, and offers a structured opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge bioprocess development.

Responsibilities

• Embrace and role model CPI values, promoting an ethical, positive culture
• Maintain documented compliance with SHE/DI/quality requirements
• Set up and run experimental/pilot scale fermentations (20-1000L) and report results
• Support transfer of processes from customer sites to CPI pilot facilities
• Provide microbiological support within the pilot plant for Operations and Bioprocess Development
• Maintain and calibrate equipment for safe, efficient operation
• Communicate with operations teams to deliver project outcomes
• Present findings and contribute to reports to showcase CPI capabilities
