Job summary

Adient is seeking a Quality Assurance professional to lead advanced quality planning activities across prototype, pre-production and production phases. Responsibilities include PPAP coordination, supplier QA planning, Gage R&R, PFMEA/DFMEA, and environmental/safety compliance.

Role requires collaboration with SDT members and customer-facing documentation, ensuring on-time delivery of QA artifacts and adherence to BOS/Control Plans.

• Participate in Safety Sign-Offs, Design Reviews, Program Reviews, and Phase Exit Reviews.
• Execute Supplier Advanced Quality Planning elements: SAQP kick-off, Process Sign-Off, and PPAP approval.
• Develop the Prototype, Pre-production, and Production Control Plans.
• Develop the Measurement System Analysis Plan; ensure Gage R&R studies are conducted and corrective actions taken.
• Implement Manufacturing Quality Systems for prototype and pre-production builds per BOS/Control Plan.
• Complete inspection reports for components used in prototype and pre-production builds.
• Perform capability studies for program characteristics and ensure requirements are met (or obtain deviations).
• Manage color/appearance approval through PPAP, preparing/ coordinating customer submission paperwork.
• Coordinate preparation and on-time delivery of PPAP packages for submission and approval by the Customer.
• Coordinate AQP deliverables: control plans, capability studies, layouts, gage design/R&R, PFMEA/DFMEA.
• Utilize all applicable Customer-specific systems.
• Ensure statistical methods are used throughout Product and Process Development and deployed into the Control Plan.
• Complete all other Customer-specific Advanced Quality Planning requirements.
• Assist SDT members to ensure SDT deliverables are met on time.
• Participate in environmental activities and environmental impact evaluation.
• Ensure activities comply with Environmental law and requirements.
• Volunteer for safety meetings and act promptly on safety issues.
• Maintain JSA/Risk assessment and environmental aspects for routine and non-routine work.
• Lead the abnormality process for internal–external quality issues.
