Job summary

Oxoid | Remel Microbiology (Acquired from Thermo Fisher Scientific) is hiring a Process Operator II for manufacturing at the Basingstoke site. This full-time, 6-month contract role focuses on producing and packing Dehydrated Culture Media in a fast-paced environment.

You will follow SOPs, operate equipment, update SAP stock, and maintain training records while adhering to safety and quality guidelines. Shift pattern includes Day and Late shifts with a 20% allowance.

Qualifications

• Good written and verbal communication with strong attention to detail.
• Basic computer proficiency, including email and software navigation.
• Ability to lift and move items up to 20–25 kg.
• Previous manufacturing experience preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Manufacturing & packaging: create batch records, print labels, operate equipment per defined processes.
• System tracking: update SAP stock management on task completion and maintain training records.
• Safety & compliance: follow SOPs, report unsafe practices, uphold safety and quality guidelines.
• Collaboration & metrics: participate in daily meetings, track progress toward goals, contribute to performance reviews.
