Job Description

The Process Operator micronizemills role involves handling client-provided materials, including active pharmaceutical ingredients and excipients, in accordance with our procedures, policies, client instructions, and cGMP guidelines. The operator models company values and leadership behaviors in all interactions.

Operator I Functions
  1. Perform entry-level micronization and milling of both hazardous and non-hazardous pharmaceutical actives and excipients.
  2. Set up, operate equipment, and monitor production processes.
  3. Report production on batch records following good documentation procedures (GDPs).
  4. Work in a regulated environment, adhering to SOPs and policies.
  5. Follow cGMP standards.
  6. Identify and communicate non-routine events, deviations, and GMP deficiencies to supervisors promptly.
  7. Clean the processing area and equipment thoroughly.
  8. Maintain clear, consistent documentation in compliance with quality standards.
  9. Be open to change, eager to learn, and work with new processes.
  10. Ask questions or suggest improvements when unclear.
  11. Participate in shift change meetings, team meetings, email communications, and projects.
  12. This is a site-based position.
  13. Strive to achieve First Time Right (FTR) as a KPI to meet yearly targets.
  14. Stay current with Compliance Wire and other training.
  15. Perform all other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements
Education or Equivalent:

High School Diploma or GED.

Experience:

Dependability, eagerness to learn, and ability to meet physical requirements. Prior manufacturing and regulated environment experience preferred. Ability to work weekday and weekend OT is a plus.

Knowledge/Skills:
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Basic math skills and interpretation
  • Potential exposure to hazardous chemicals
  • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
  • Prior production experience preferred
Physical Requirements/Work Environment:
  • Physical strength, stamina, and dexterity, including wearing PPE
  • Ability to lift up to 44 lbs. alone, or with assistance for heavier weights
  • Work safely with HPAPI and unknown potency compounds
  • Perform physical tasks like lifting, climbing, bending, crouching, reaching, and twisting
  • Stand or walk for up to 8 hours
  • Work from elevated platforms when needed
  • Wear respirator hoods and pass medical exams
  • Work in loud environments with hearing protection
  • Handle chemicals and hazardous materials safely
