Job Description

Reporting to the Process Manager, you'll work closely with the Technical team and play an instrumental role in the manufacturing process to assist and develop continuous improvement and innovation programmes. Your key responsibilities will include:

1. Collecting and analysing product and production data to identify inconsistencies and potential areas of improvement, to streamline and refine key processes
2. Supporting site quality improvement plans and initiatives, working closely with suppliers to specify new equipment and ingredients to drive the chilled category forward by improving product and process capabilities
3. Carrying out site due diligence checks to ensure factory equipment requirements are met and microbiological samples are submitted for evaluation
4. Liaising with various internal departments such as Process, NPD and factory teams to organise trials regarding data collection and the feasibility of products, ensuring they meet technical, operational, and quality requirements and objectives
5. Contributing to post-launch evaluations to ensure processes are still functional for full-scale production, implementing any necessary improvements

Candidate Profile

We are looking for a Process Innovation professional with a Food Science or related degree and experience of working within a technical, development, process or manufacturing role within the Food and Drink Industry. With the ability to work alone or within a team, you'll have a thorough understanding of NPD and process procedures alongside a passion for achieving excellent results.

Excellent planning, organisational and problem-solving skills are essential, along with the tenacity to drive initiatives to reach targets within set deadlines. Above all, you will be enthusiastic with the energy and self-motivation to drive continuous improvements throughout the workplace.
