Reporting Line

Sales Manager UK & IE - Process Gas Analysers

Your Role and Responsibilities

In this role, you will own a product and service budget, selling a range of Process and Continuous Gas Analyser products, along with related service contracts. Your focus will be on PGA-related products, systems, and services in the South of the UK. Reporting to the Sales Manager UK & IE - Process Gas Analysers, you will be a key member of the Measurement & Analytics Front-End Sales Team for UK & Ireland. This home-based role covers the South of England, South Wales, and Midlands.

You will be mainly accountable for:

1. Expanding existing business by exploring new and existing markets, focusing on Power & Selected Industrial industries in the South UK to ensure long-term growth.
2. Collaborating with other sales, service personnel, factories, and partners to maximize order potential.
3. Maintaining relationships with other ABB units, especially Control Systems, Power, and Engineering Services divisions.
4. Providing technical, commercial, and application support to customers.
5. Handling inquiries, managing quotations, and assisting with tenders alongside project teams.
6. Preparing product and customer budgets and developing business plans.
7. Submitting monthly forecasts and maintaining a prospect list.
8. Updating CRM and market intelligence on trends and competitors.

Qualifications

• HNC Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Experience selling instrumentation in the Process Industry.
• Proven in strategic/value-based selling.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Strong account management skills.
• Team-oriented and collaborative mindset.
