Process Excellence Technician
PEX Technician
The Process Excellence Technician will lead activities focused on improving Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Productivity in manufacturing processes and supporting areas.
Responsibilities:
- Collect, track, control, analyze, review, and report data daily on process cycle time and downtime.
- Support data collection, review, analyze, and report on team performance, providing feedback to internal customers.
- Support and lead problem-solving sessions and initiatives to improve Safety, Quality, Delivery, Productivity, and Cost.
- Lead initiatives on shop floor organization and standard work implementation (5S).
- Assist in and promote PEX awareness by training on PEX tools and fostering a continuous improvement mindset.
- Collaborate with factory, regional, and global support teams to enhance Safety, Quality, Delivery, Productivity, and Cost.
- Assist with the launch of new products (NPI) into the factory.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Essential Functions:
- Effective communication of information to local, regional, and global teams.
- Flexibility to adapt to change, shift schedules, working hours, and departmental needs on short notice.
- Organize and manage time efficiently based on daily objectives.
- Proficiency in computer use.
- Ability to use hand tools.
- Physical ability to work on-site on the factory floor with technicians and production staff.
- Ability to see and hear alarms, timers, and follow verbal instructions.
- Wearing of required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) during tasks.
- Ability to climb stairs.
- Tolerance to environments involving chemicals and materials within OSHA guidelines.
- Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
Education, Training, and Skills Required:
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least 1 year of experience in process improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean, 5S, Value Stream Mapping) or Data Analytics.
- Understanding of Safety, Quality, Productivity, and Cost principles in manufacturing.
- Basic problem-solving skills with ability to identify root causes and suggest solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration and presentation.
- Ability to influence, motivate, and build consensus at the factory level.
- Experience leading or participating in improvement projects.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Ability to create diagrams, graphs, charts, tables, and visual work instructions.

Pay range:
$28 - $30 per hour
