Job summary

A leading nuclear design consultancy is seeking Process Engineers at varied levels on a contract basis in Warrington. In this role, you will manage engineering activities, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to energy projects. Ideal candidates will hold an engineering degree, have experience in process engineering, and strong technical leadership skills.

Qualifications

  • Experience in process engineering required, varying by level.
  • Membership of a relevant institute or capability to register with Engineering Council.
  • Experience managing small teams and delivering analysis activities.

We are recruiting Process Engineers (from Engineer to Principal level) on a contract basis (inside IR35) to work with a leading nuclear design consultancy in Warrington.

  • Get paid fairly for your experience:Depending on your level of experience, you will be paid in line with market rates.
Your Role:You’ll manage and deliver engineering and technical activities, produce calculations, analyses, drawings, models, and technical reports. You’ll supervise trainee staff and designers, develop Technical Scopes of Work, and provide ongoing technical support throughout the project phases. Your experience will help shape the direction—not just deliver on it.

You’ll need to bring:
  • Engineering degree(or equivalent qualification) in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • Demonstrable experiencein process engineering. The amount required will vary depending on the level applied for.
  • Membership of a relevant instituteor capability of registration with the Engineering Council.
  • Experience managing small teamsand delivering analysis activities on various project types.
  • Excellent communication skillsand the ability to interface with other disciplines.
Desirable:
  • Experience managing engineering scopefor projects from concept design to full Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) - this is applicable to Senior and Principal level roles.
  • Broad experiencein nuclear, commercial or defence projects.
