Position Overview: We are seeking a Process Engineer with expertise in aerospace special processing to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and optimizing metal finishing processes to ensure the highest quality and performance of aerospace components. This role requires a deep understanding of aerospace industry standards and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Process Development and Optimization: Design, develop, and refine metal finishing processes such as plating, cleaning, surface enhancement, and passivation to meet specific aerospace requirements.
  2. Quality Assurance: Ensure all processes comply with industry standards, including NADCAP and AS9100 certifications. Implement rigorous testing protocols to maintain defect-free results.
  3. Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, production, and quality teams to integrate process improvements and address any processing challenges.
  4. Technical Support: Provide technical guidance and training to production staff on process parameters, troubleshooting, and best practices.
  5. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed records of process parameters, changes, and outcomes. Prepare reports for internal reviews and customer audits.
  6. Continuous Improvement: Lead initiatives to enhance process efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality through lean manufacturing principles and data-driven analysis.

Qualifications:

  1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  2. Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in process engineering within the aerospace metal finishing industry.
  3. Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of metal finishing techniques and their applications in aerospace. Familiarity with industry standards such as NADCAP, AS9100, and FAA regulations.
  4. Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities with a data-driven approach to process optimization.
  5. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
  6. Certifications: ASQ and/or Six Sigma certifications are a plus.
