Job summary

Jobtailor in the United Kingdom is seeking a specialist process engineer to support Assala Energy projects, delivering field development concepts and process design across conceptual, FEED and detailed design phases.

You will prepare and review technical documentation, calculations and specifications, engage stakeholders, and identify opportunities to improve production efficiency, throughput and asset optimisation.

Qualifications

• Specialist process engineering expertise supporting onshore and offshore oil and gas projects.
• Experience delivering studies, technical assessments and recommendations for oil and gas processing facilities and systems.
• Ability to produce engineering deliverables, reports and calculations to agreed project requirements.

Responsibilities

• Deliver specialist process engineering consultancy for Assala Energy projects.
• Generate and evaluate field development concepts using production, reservoir, and geoscience data.
• Prepare process engineering studies and assessments for concept selection and project maturation.
• Develop process design deliverables across conceptual, FEED and detailed design phases.
• Prepare, review, and issue process engineering documentation, calculations, reports, and technical specifications.
• Review vendor and contractor deliverables and provide technical recommendations.
• Participate in multidisciplinary technical reviews and integrate process engineering requirements into project solutions.
• Support project cost estimates, schedules, and execution planning.
• Present technical findings, engineering studies, and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Compile final process engineering documentation for project close-out and handover.
• Review existing facilities, process systems, and operational performance.
• Identify, assess, and rank opportunities to improve production efficiency, throughput, reliability, and crude export performance.
• Support development and implementation of selected asset optimisation solutions.
• Engage operational and project stakeholders to facilitate implementation of proposed solutions.

Requirements

• Specialist process engineering expertise supporting onshore and offshore oil and gas projects
• Capability to develop and evaluate field development concepts, including late-life asset optimisation opportunities
• Experience delivering process engineering studies, technical assessments, and recommendations for oil and gas processing facilities and associated systems
• Ability to produce engineering deliverables, reports, calculations, and technical documentation to agreed project requirements
• Application of industry-recognised engineering methodologies, standards, and best practices
• Use of appropriate engineering and process simulation software, including Unisim, Flare System Analyser, and Flaresim
• Effective engagement with project stakeholders to communicate findings and present recommendations
• Focus on innovation, technical quality, safety, and achievement of agreed milestones and outcomes
