Job Description:

What will you be doing as our new Process Engineer?

As part of our Water Non-Infrastructure team, you will collaborate with the project design team to develop process solutions that optimize plant performance, utilize standard designs, and adhere to @one engineering standards.

Key responsibilities:

1. Design process systems for Water/Wastewater Treatment Plants and water systems, ensuring alignment with Anglian Water’s goals for customer service, environmental protection, and efficiency. Deliverables include:

• Technical schedules and data sheets
• Hydraulic, pump, mass balance, and RICS calculations
• Specifications for engineering subcontracts
• Technical bid analysis of supply chain designs

Supervise key outputs such as process calculations, hydraulics, unit processes, pump and capacity calculations, and technical bid analysis of third-party process equipment.

Communicate effectively across levels to ensure technical excellence is understood and implemented.

Proactively escalate issues related to time, cost, or quality before they impact project delivery.

Support health and safety standards, ensuring designs comply with CDM Regulations and accepted codes of practice.

Coordinate with other engineering disciplines to ensure smooth interface, share best practices, and manage overlaps or gaps.

Candidate profile:

You should hold a degree in water/wastewater process science or engineering and have relevant experience in process engineering within water/wastewater and biosolids treatment.

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills are essential, along with excellent IT skills. You should be able to combine technical expertise with effective people skills to deliver optimal process engineering solutions.
