We are currently looking for a Process Engineer to join the Process Hazards Section in Huddersfield as a Process Safety Specialist. You will play a key role in developing and maintaining safe manufacturing processes, focusing on flammability risks and controls. You will be part of a diverse, global team working on strategic projects, liaising with partners to ensure timely completion of studies, and growing your career with us.

Your main responsibilities include providing expertise in process safety related to flammability hazards of powders and liquids in batch chemical operations, supporting new product development and manufacturing, contributing to technological advancements, and training colleagues in process safety across the region.

Qualifications:

• Honours degree or equivalent in Chemical Engineering
• Chartered Engineer or willing to become chartered within 12-24 months
• Experience with Process Risk Assessment techniques (e.g., HAZOP) in batch chemical processing
• Knowledge of legislation related to flammability risks (e.g., ATEX)
• Strong planning and organizational skills
• Fluent in English
