Job summary

Protea Recruitment Ltd, a specialist in Food & FMCG recruitment, is helping a leading FMCG food manufacturer recruit a Process Engineer for their High Wycombe site. The role sits at the intersection of process engineering, product development and manufacturing, supporting scalable, quality-focused innovations from concept to production.

You'll collaborate with Product Development, Engineering and Operations to identify opportunities, solve technical challenges and deliver robust processes,

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemical Engineering, Food Process Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Experience in applied process engineering within food manufacturing (FMCG).
• Experience with pilot plant and factory trials.
• Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma or continuous improvement methods.

Responsibilities

• Support the development and implementation of new food manufacturing processes and technologies.
• Identify opportunities to improve product quality, robustness and manufacturing capability.
• Assess process capability and use data to recommend improvements.
• Ensure scalability and manufacturing considerations are embedded in product development.
• Support product development from bench scale to plant trials.
• Design and execute trials to understand process performance.
• Analyze data and provide actionable technical recommendations.
• Collaborate with product development, engineering and operations teams.
• Identify processing requirements for ingredients and packaging.
• Support technology transfer into manufacturing and sustainability initiatives.
